What to Expect on your First Day at Borgess Run Camp
Camp Starts at 7:30 a.m.
The first day of the 13-week camp, the principles of camp are covered and teams are formed. The first day of camp can feel chaotic, but it’s simply a matter of creating a structure in which everyone can benefit.
Campers who are training for the Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K and indicated their pace to be 12+ will take part in a “field test” to help establish which group best suits their current conditioning. The field test is explained and at the end of the first day, all teams are formed. There is a “drop add” process throughout the first few weeks of camp.
The best thing to do on the first day of camp is to embrace the spirit of community. The pursuit of personal goals takes all 13 weeks. Don’t be discouraged.
